i remember sesame park, that was when i was making n64 money babysitting. that shop sucked out loud.
the 12 song, man... even my MOM remembers that one.
and canadian sesame street taught rudimentary french, that was pretty cool.
i remember also when the space shuttle exploded and they interrupted my favorite sesame street cartoon, that word man, to show it. i was mad. the next time i felt mad like that was when SNL was cancelled to yammer about princess diana's car accident. she's dead, fine. we dont need to say it for 4 hours.

on another note, i had an english teacher who pointed out that sesame street is very evil for a very good reason. it is only aired on commercial-free networks. the reason? because they have their own commercials. cutesy educational 30-second jobs that are broadcast in exactly the same format as regular tv. essentially, this can have the effect of training your kids to watch tv, AND training them to pay lots of attention to the commercials.

i think i'll find something else for my kids to watch.
