When impossible DOOM comes to DESTROY everything you hold dear, this is the poise with which you should react:

This webcomic deserves further pimpage - it's about an ordinary little girl with the ordinary imagination except that she seems to be, or at least have the powers, of a mighty god. When she casually creates a world from her imagination, when she's done playing, just like a child, she will casually ignore, abandon, or destroy the world she created, with no more care than a child would when playing with toys. Except, her worlds are real, so her casualness with them strikes me as very... Lovecraftian, in it's callousness.

For example: http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/minus53.html

Still.

Lovecraftian whimsy might be the best description.

Now...here's the question:

Did Minus decide to get up on that hill to save the world by punting the meteor away?

Or did she call it closer because she wanted to play baseball, and is unaware of the chaos it's causing? ^_^

Either way, brilliant comic, and if the author ever offers prints again, I want a copy of that particular strip.

Agreed, I gotta get a copy of that.

And knowing how she doesn't seem to have any normal human empathy, I'd say she called the meteor just for fun. Seeing as how it looks like she's able to create entire realities at a whim, I don't think she's too concerned about the rest of the world at large.

There was a strip where she pulled a star from the sky. It incenerated everything. Then, by her will, everything went back to normal. Minus is immortal and seems to have infinite power. One could even say she's an allegory for God.

Seems more like a 'new' god, inexperienced, still testing limits and powers, within the restraints of a human mind. As I mentioned, lovecraftian feel to it, or perhaps something that could exist in one of Michael Moorcock's worlds.
