A) if I'm not having sex, it's really futile.
V) If it's as reliable as the female form, I don't see why. I mean, I, both of my brothers (one of whom is a twin of me), and one of our older sisters are reputed to have been concieved while our mother was on it.

Given that I work with a lot of women, only one of whom is actually on the pill, believe it or not, this topic has come up. One of the girls is schooling to be a Nursing Assistance (NA), and she is quite adamant that the pill is too easy to be disrupted by certain hormonal activities as well as other drugs/chemicals women might feasibly take or be given. One example, she said, was high stress could impact it's effectiveness. Another was anti-biotics or certain immunization shots could cause it to not work, which is, I would guess, a probable reason for me being here, today.

Hell yes I would. From what I hear it's safe, effective (if not moreso than the female counterpart) and they'll probably make it taste like beef jerky for guys. <laughs>

Bah, the chocolate flavored ribbed and nubbined condom works better.

Remember kids, the only safe sex is castrated sex.

Well, that and unisex, but it's all better than more (more) pills.

Haha, I win because I don't have sex.
Well, maybe not "win."

Also, "sperm count drop below zero"? Hahahahahano.
PS; was anyone else amused at the fact that the head of the research is a girl called Wang?

My on-topic sexist comment:

"Mmm, Doctor Wang, can be your lab rat? Your naughty, naughty lab rat..."

...

Also!

Sperm count drop below zero?

Aaaah!

It's eating me, it's eating me aliiiiiive!

Also!

The above was punny.

Also!

I need to stop mixing my caffines. Red Bull is sweet, yes, and Jolt Espresso isn't, but no, that doesn't cancel *anything* out.

Gentleman...

Look who this product is targeting.

a) The asshoes who fuck around and think "One Night Stand" is a badge of honour.

b) Those not ready to care for a child.

c) Babies? I just want to lay you, woman!

How is this a BAD thing? Preventing people who don't care or do not want to breed from breeding? Guys do not have to worry about monthly hormone surges, therefore, this product is strictly for the designed puropose: Stop Sperm From Going To The Egg. It does not prevent AIDS, thougth. Nor a dozen other STDs. Only the Pregnancy thing.

Better this than nothing, I say.

If a guy isn't willing to use a condom, or maybe the girl...then at least this is preventing asshoes from fucking around and making babies that will grow up without them.

To those who are family planning...the odds just turned from "97%" to "99.95%" of having a kid when you're not ready.

Damn good thing, this pill. About the only thing that could possibly go wrong is if women start believing the line:

"Oh, it's okay, honey, I'm on the Man-Pill" without thinking through the possible results first.

The case doesn't obtain for me - my wife and I are trying to have a child. OTOH:
If I were single, and
If I were in a relationship where we didn't want kids, and
If the drug successfully completes clinical trials
Then, yes, I would use it.

It might make a dent, but I'm not as sanguine about a massive reduction in unwanted pregnancies, because I don't think the assholes in the target groups are going to care enough to use it. *sigh* I have plenty of faith in human nature, unfortunately - most of it bad...

Yeah, but one problem being, those assholes are the ones most likely to not give a shit in the first place.

Agreed...but the option would be there for those with a shred of good in them, and it's better than nothing, right? ^_^
