Toze: Levar Burton, from Reading Rainbow. Cool guy.

I liked DS9, but when I started watching Babylon 5 I realized it fell short of its promise. I then later learned that DS9 ripped of B5 (the creators of B5 sued and won settlement).

The one thing I didn't like about TOS and TNG were their Monster o' The Week habit. It led to some annoyingly one-dimensional characters. Now the recurring races just got better: Ferringie, Borg, Cardassian, Bijoran. Plus, they knew what type of sex symbol geeks want. Troy was perfect; she was sexy but also intelligent and had super powers but wasn't ZOMG powerful (like that twit Kes).

Troy was old and ugly. I still liked TNG, but Troy was the last thing on my mind. Does this mean I'm not a geek?

No, but I'm afraid it does make you a bit shallow. ^_^

SHIT! I can't beleive I never made that connection before. >_<

As for B5, I have the entire series in box sets on my shelf. I like ST, and SW, but if you ask me for my favorite sci-fi series it's B5 (tho Firefly comes close).

Seven = teh sex. Kes = giggling moron, would've made a good "captain's bimbo" in STOS, but that's about it.

Elves => Kes
Have magical powers => Has magical powers
Live in the woods => Works in hydroponics
Have pointy ears => Has pointy ears
Are short and fair => Is short and fair
Are great healers => Was studying medicine

Seriously, it's like someone took their D&D character and dropped them into ST, with the expected Peggy Sueness ensuing.
