The Greatest Cult Movies of All Time
Ahh, Cult Movies. Movies that were laughed off by critics as nothing more than schlock, but due to an immense following, have stood the test of time.
Some of my favourites:
Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Evil Dead Series (Bruce Campbell beating himself up in ED 2 was hilarious!)
Any of the Troma films (Toxic Avenger and Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD are terribly funny)
Death Race 2000 (Go "Machine Gun" Joe Paterbo!!)
That's all I can think of, can any of you recommend any more?

Three little words, my friends...
Ultra
High
Frequency.
UHF RULES! Bow down to the mighty Weird Al!
Mmmm, other classics...Evil Dead, of course, but I would also suggest Space Balls and the other Mel Brooks movies. Not quite "Cult" but close enough.

you might get the ranking of institution for the Python, but never cult.
Whist i hold a special place n my heart for the Evil Dead serries, my point has to go to Lloyd Kaufman. Simply because the Toxic Avenger is, in my books, the best cult movie i've seen

And the Lord said: "That's what I've always hated about this town... Too many fucking vampires!" and it was goooood!
THE POWER OF CHRIST IMPALES YOU!
On that note, does Lost Boys count as Cult? Keifer Sutherland rocks...and has one of the coolest names ever.

Yeah, Lost Boys count. It gets extra points if you ignore the fact that not one but BOTH of the "Cory's" were in that film.
Ugh, just thinking about Corey Feldman - Vampire Slayer makes me wanna go on a 48 hour bender to forget that.

Flash Gordon: the FIRST Comic Book Movie
I've thought of another cult movie to be remembered: 1980's Flash Gordon!
If not for the chinsy special effects, then the soundtrack by Queen was worth watching.

Sorry for bumping up an old thread but I read this and laughed my head off. This is so true. The special effects were... yeah, but that damn soundtrack was killer! I still have some of those damn songs in my head and I just sang them at the most random moments.
Another cult classic, hmm... I would have to say either the Highlander or Alien, maybe TRON. Not sure about that last one though.
