| Post subject: | Evangelion poll: Shinji strangles Asuka |
This is a hot topic over at A4 and I was just wondering what the WAR community thought. However, since debating the subject is leading to a flame war, I want to try discussing it with the enlightened minds here. IF the scene falls in continuity with the series, then according to a small frame in the D&R movie, it happens right before Kaworu arrives. Most likely it's the reason why Asuka has ran away at the beginning of the episode. One may also believe it is kept secret from the audience until the End of Evangelion to illustrate why Shinji sees himself as a monster. IF the scene never happened, then it is likely some expression of frustration on Shinji's part. A scenario built in his mind in the midst of instrumentality. |
