Post Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows
Surfing IsoHunt, I found a PDF of what claims to be HP:7. Now, I have my doubts about the authenticity of this document. After all, they've done a pretty good job keeping the manuscripts under wraps so far.

There is, however, evidence in favor of the documents validity. First, is the documents length. The PDF is 659 pages long. I would consider this a bit extravagant for a hoax, but still not outside the fervor of HP fandom. Second is the content. J. K. Rowling made certain plot elements known to the public before the book. These elements are all present in a coherent form. Considering the late date that some of these hints where dropped, it is unlikely, though not impossible to have forged this. Finally, there is the quality of the writing. It bears great resemblance to Rowling's other works. It has spot on (jesus, too much Anglicanism) charaterization. The overall quality is somewhat rough, though this owuld be fitting if this were a leaked draft. It would admittedly hold true if it were merely a well written fanjob.

If this is a leaked draft of the UK version, then you get to read it early. If it's a fake, it's a very good fake. Considering that most members of thisi board read fanfics (that's almost a requirement given how most of us found out about Fiss) this is still worth the read.[/url]

there was a fake "Order of the Pheonix" running around a few years back that was actually just a really large fanfic. No harm done and no foul on the part of the author, they mention on their site and in the document. However, in all the search engines and torrents, Rowling was the author and a LOT of people were suckered by it.

If this turns out to be false, I think I'm going to e-mail it to Rowling. She seems to get a kick out of the fanbase. Though she seems slightly overwhelmed by the Harry/Hermione crowd's fervency.

Yes, I noticed those. However, they might have been left their by an editor or ghost writer, which would fit with this being a draft copy. Though, as I stated in my first post, it most likely is fake, though obviously not faked by the author.
