So....Bleach, anyone?
I'm pretty sure there are some other fans of Bleach here besides myself, and I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the recent developements?
Before I continue:
**SPOILERS** | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
**SPOILERS**
Anyway, the anime just left off where Ichigo defeated Grimmjow and has now lapsed into what appears to be a long bout of filler. It's centered around Amagai Shuusuke, an anime-exclusive character who's taken over as captain of squad three. Seems interesting enough, but I really hope this filler isn't going to be as ridiculously long as the Bount Arc.
As for the manga, the main story left off with Aizen and the top three Espada about to battle it out with the captains of the Gotei 13 in Karakura Town, and Ichigo and co. heading off to confront Ulquiorra in Las Noches. Since then, we've been getting the Turn Back the Pendulum minus chapters which take place decades in Soul Society's past. It's been pretty interesting learning about how Shinji Hirako and many of the other Vaizards used to be captains and lieutenants, and how Aizen was Shinji's lieutenant when he was captain of the fifth. But still, just how long is this going to drag on for?
Me, I can't wait for the showdown between the captains and Espada. We might finally get to see Ukitake and Kyoraku get serious.

I can survive any filler just for the sheer joy of knowing the next fights are pure, epic win. But yeah...I hope it's a SMALL filler arc... After all...one can only wait so long for Ken-sama. The "Turn back the Pendulum" arc in the manga is REALLY interesting so far, though, so I hope that keeps going for a while.

Bleach is win. It's probably the most interesting shounen title I have ever read by far.

Re: So....Bleach, anyone?
Yeah, Bleach really sucked me in. After only three episodes aired in the US back in 06', I had already gotten an "unofficial" DVD set off Amazon.com containing episodes 1-71. Before episode 4 aired on Adult Swim, I had already seen past the Soul Society Arc. Thanks to YouTube and Bleach Exile, I've seen every episode to date. The series is damn addictive.
I'm wondering whether this epic battle between the Espada and the captains is going to be the start of Bleach's final arc?

Re: So....Bleach, anyone?
Well, as most of us bleach fan's should have realized.. Bleach won't be doing normal stuff till about september cause that how long they need from then till december to pull out the current battles, bring the Gotei 13 into Las Noches and start the fun fighting before Aizen takes it to Karakura town.
I look forward to the filers actually.

Re: So....Bleach, anyone?
I was hoping the fillers could do background stories on other interesting characters on SS. Perhaps we'll get that through the upcoming fillers but the studio will probably come up with some random bogus enemy that Aizen experimented with.

Re: So....Bleach, anyone?
i stopped watching bleach after the 3rd or 6th episode... buying the manga tends to do that for me the only series that i have in both anime and manga form is evangelion and sakura wars... probably because its so different from each other

Re: So....Bleach, anyone?
Eh, Bleach is one of my more harmless anime habits, though I'm more into the manga - that damn soul-vampire filler-arc almost killed the whole thing for me, I admit, though the current filler gets points for actually being half-decent.
