Welcome back everyone!
Sorry it took so long but I wanted to make sure it was at least partially worth the wait. A few changes since you've been here should be immediately evident, but none more dramatic than the upgrade to PHPbb 3. You'll have a multitude of new options in your User Control Panel to play with, as well as a better posting screen with more goodies to use and abuse.
Beyond that, the forum has slimmed down from the 18 or so headers it once was to less than half. I've tried to keep what made the WAR the WAR, and not just some generic copy of every other forum out there on the net. If you feel I've missed something, or have suggestions to improve the new layout, I'm all ears!
Avatars will need to be uploaded, as the structure of the old board's gallery made it impossible to salvage them, but if you want your old avatar back I can harass my old Webhost to try.
Ahh, that's the final major improvement. All of Studio Shinnyo now runs on a Canadian Webhost in Toronto. Don't worry, non-Canucks, it doesn't mean I'm shunning you. In fact, hearing that the old WAR was slow even for people in the states was the final straw that made me switch. Now we are located in a nice new data-centre that literally sits in the crossroads of all major North American web traffic that hits the Great White North. I've already seen a great improvement on speed, and I hope you do too.
Also, the WAR is now GREEN POWERED. That's right, all the power used to run the Studio is now supplied by wind, solar, and the generator they hooked up to Walt Disney's grave to havest the power he creates every time a new Direct-To-DVD merchandising release comes out from his company. I tried to get the Wind, Water, Heart, Captain Planet package, but they were out of Heart. It is Toronto, after all.
Minor updates to continue to happen, including a better Smiley set, changes in mods and removal of inactive profiles. If you see any problems viewing, editing or posting, please let me know as the conversion from the old WAR to the new database was...done on NyQuil and I'm still not entirely sure it worked 100%.
