I was reviewing acrhived posts, and I got to wondering about the people who we haven't heard from in a while.... Note about the post title: "Status Check" is Police Radio shorthand. Like this: if Unit 216 David calls off on a traffic stop, or a suspicious activity, or simply hasn't checked in for too long, Dispatch will ping 216 David with a request for a "Status Check" - in plain English, it amounts to asking, "Are you all right?" I realize the IntarWebz are rather more ephemeral, but a) I personally give a shit, and b) the WAR is supposed to be about people giving a shit. So, I (or others, on a volunteer basis) will be pinging you on the e-mails you left in your contact info to ask if you're all right? - and ask you to answer here, rather than hit the "reply" button, so that the other WARriors hear it, the same way we coppers would hear whether 216 David was okay... Bottom line, if you do nothing else, at least tell us how you're doing. There's one or two of us who give a shit. |

I give a shit... I give a shit a LOT... if it werent for Fissy and this site, I never would have met my darling husband... and a lot of people that use to frequent this place are really awesome to talk with... On the husband note... I can officially blame Fissy for anything bad that happens... not that anything would... because well... yeah.. it wont...

The thing is, I'm going to go back for the folks who haven't posted for a long time. I want to hear how they're doing. AFAIK, I'm the resident Old Bastard on this board. But, I am not a heartless Old Bastard - I want to hear from the people on the memberlist who haven't posted since the redesign, to at least find out if they're alive, and how they're doing. There's a couple of folks I'm concerned about, at least a little bit... And, to those I didn't ping on e-mail: I do give a shit about you, too. It's just that, I'm an old guy, with CRS (Can't-Remember-Shit) Syndrome. If I miss anybody on my pings, I apologize. |

Hey Mateo! Glad to hear from you. I watched your blog for a bit but I didn't see too many updates. When are you heading back to NA? As for access, communication, and the like, I would have no problem helping out with a nice big "HEY! YOU STILL ALIVE!?!" e-mail. In fact, as soon as I get the rest of my site back up and running...and maybe some new content...I'll probably send out a APB on current users. |

I haven't posted in awhile. I guess I've just been busy with stuff, but I always made sure to check in every now and then. I'll make an effort to post more. This is a really great forum, and I'm glad to be a member.

Well, since Jan 11, i've been comfortable on the E.I that i paid into, looking for work at the same time tho. Currently i've been taking side tasks of modding or working on game console systems and at night when i'm not playing AA(America's Army) or bothering Fissy i'm dabbling in just about anything i can get my mind into. Been writing and the occasional drawing. Good to see that there are ppl still using the WAR here and there. Hooah! |

Whoa. Been quite a bit. I've just graduated from university at the start of this month and am now desperately searching for a "grown up" job. If anyone knows of any writing/publishing/editing/describing things/anything with words really jobs out there, I'm totally your bitch if you hook me up. I'll make it a point to post more often! Because really... until I get a job I've not got much else to do besides clean up fat people sweat and donate plasma until I've got none left. : P Tschau! |

Howdy! Umm, yeah... I picked up a full-time job about a year ago, and while it's not difficult work in the least, it's horribly mind-numbing. by the time I get home, all I want to do is jump into an FPS and make an attempt to get some adrenaline flowing. That, and finally get around to catching up on all the classic anime, manga, and novels that I never had time/money for during college. Last time I checked (about a month ago) I had about 600 hours of anime on my list, plus the reading that I do at night to help myself go to sleep. Speaking of which, time to go pull out the next disk of Slayers. I'll try and post a bit more often, but it'll mostly be lurking. |

Hello thar... Yeah... I've had a lot going on...most of it un-interesting. However I am due to have a knee operation soon, ripped out my right Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Not fun. Been at Uni, passed 1st year with a 2:1. Looking to step up to a 1st next year. Will post more frequently! Promise. |
