Mainly I'm putting some sound files here involving some 'cinema'-like cutscenes... the three here are from the final mission of the Terradine Missions.

First, a quick series of explainations to put you in the know...

X2: X2 The THREAT (http://www.egosoft.com)

Terradine: Very Large UBER-MOD for the Game X2. I bring in some Anime elements from things like Tenchi Muyo, Saber Marionette J, and Harlock Saga as easter eggs.
Terradine Missions: Since the custom galaxy cannot run the game's plot... Myself and a co-modder called Nuklear Eclipse are working on a set of missions in an Xwing styled campaign of engagements, who's each subsiquent mission seems to be based off the previous mission... losely based on the Flight of the Hastings concept.

Missions team: Myself (Writer, Briefing and cinema sounds and voice acting.) ... Nuklear Eclipse (Script Coding and tweaker)

Now: The Mission I'm putting the cinema sequences up is the final mission... mission 24 HASTINGS UNLEASHED.

Cinema Sequence one: The Family G'Nat of the Split is out for vengence. They have teamed up with the powerful space pirate guilds and are ready to get their vengence. They come over all channels announcing their intentions to the crew of the hastings and its fighter squadrons in a dramatic showing of their fleet.

Cinema Sequence two: The commander of the Hastings comes over the fighter comm channels and does a final headcount before the order to engage is given... a slight omniscience is given to the player's perspective to overhear the split and the pirates kind of 'warn' each other to do their part. (As with any criminal alliance... they don't exactly trust each other.) Cut back to the fighters as they all announce their engage calls... finalized by the player's fighter calling his callsign in the most dramatic of all.

Cinema Sequence three: Just as the player makes the kill shot on the last Split Capital ships, the music comes back up and the player hears the G'Nat commander scream his last terrified Split scream... and goes BOOM. The pirates see this and decide the Split were fools, and decide to go on an all out kamikaze assault of the Hastings. Strategic Officer Paul orders all fighters to intercept... cut back to pirates in omniscient mode gloating over their insane attack when a thunderous electric sounding boom sets the ships alarms off and the vessels to rattling... After some panic banter from the pirates, based on a scene in Tenchi GXP, I make one of my easter eggs come to life, as the vessel Mikagami emerges from subspace in a massive dramatic appearance, having dissabled the pirates. Some banter passes between the Hastings team, and then Seto Kamiki comes on all channels and anounces the arrest of the pirates. A second later, Hess responds to the hastings team with the message MISSION COMPLETE! Pilots and crew alike erupt in celebration of a successfull toppling of a criminal alliance. Fade out... play successfull mission jingle. (Not here.)

NOTES: Voice effects have the gain of all but the highest frequencies dropped by about thirty DB to produce an effect similar to someone talking over a radio headset. Frequent use of pitch shift for take the core tone of my voice off for different 'characters'. Double track used at two differnt tones to produce the munchkin-like Split voice.
