Post Question 4 science fic readers
I was discussing some science fiction classics with friends the other day, and the usual names came up. Stranger in a Strange Land, Ender's game, Lucifer's Hammer etc. But I noticed no one had heard of the Star of the Guardian series by Margret Weis. (Undoubtedly one of my favorite books)

Was wondering if anyone has heard of it here...

Is that the one with Dion Starfire? Because that is one really good series, although it has been a while since I read it last.

Dion Starfire?

3 or 4 long series?

Hell, I own 'em. Haven't read 'em for years though...

That one guy really likes Bach, right?

Does that include the book Starshield? I've got a copy of it on my bookshelf that I've never picked up...been intending to for a long time.

How about Book of the New Sun? Anyone heard of that?

I've heard of it... never read it, but I have heard of it...
...couple other good books.. if you can find copies of them...

Starship by Brian Aldiss (Out of Print for about 25 years or more)
Rite of Passage by Alexei Panshin (my copy is the 1963 printing...)
...anything else by those two is good too...

There are so many damn good books....

yah,

The one with dion. The guy who likes Bach is Derek Sagan. 4 books to the series, The Lost King, The Kings Test, The King's Sacrifice, and Ghost Legion. An excellent series, I recommend it.

By the way, I'd reccomend putting masking tape over the illustrations on the front cover before loaning it out to anyone. They are ludicrious.
