Okay boys and girls. I've got a webserver and an inclination to run that webradio I talked about last year. Who's still up for it?

Because we're not calling it WENCHFM, we need a name. Thinking "freebooter" something. I was thinking we could present the station as space pirates, because... well, because space pirates are cool. Piracy is freedom, and all that, and space... is... cool. So. Lasers are also cool.

Thoughts?

Also, I'm thinking we'd do something with playing music. Creative Commons, GPL, anything that's non-RIAA music, eh? Add politics. Add lasers. Mix.

Music Are Good.

I know something, we can have Toze and Anonymouse debate live.

Other than that, I've got a full length song, I just need someone to sing it once I finish the lyrics.

Fuck THAT. :P

I do like, for a slogan, what NK suggested: "Laser freebooters, raiding the information highway."

As for music, like I said, I'm thinking non-RIAA stuff only, which means no popular music. ATC's stuff is fully up for it, though.

I use REASON by Propellerhead software... Nifty program that runs on midi input, but uses digital sampling and a virtual sound studio to do all the work. Essentially, all the thousands of dollars of sound equipment made into a software environment. For a $400 US program it's awesome.

An old High School buddy actually suggested I look into it... so I did, and now look what I can do...

Now I just need enough to afford myself a legal copy.

ah. cool. If only I had that much cash around that I could spend on it. ah well. it's not like there's a way to get it 'free'. heh.

what I need to find is a copy of the full version. as the demo doesn't have the register option I was hoping it'd have.

EDIT: ah, ?Torrent + DaemonTools = Satisfaction. now, if only they would seed.or if I could find a direct download of the disc image.

EDIT2: It's ALIVE! ALIVE! at about 45kb/sec

Any news on this Toze? Or are you too busy getting beat up in your Kung Fu class to deal with it just at the moment?
