CHARACTER PROFILES::

Tigerclaw, Admiral K. (Thomas Johnson.)

Ht: 5'6"
Wt: 138
Age: 25 years.
Appearant age: 25

PERSONALITY: (Tigerclaw)
As a highly respected and powerful fleet admiral, Tigerclaw must maintain a proffessional attitude at all times. Practical in nature, he is blunt to the point that it's almost rude. Because so many lives are almost always under his command, he takes things extremely seriously and almost NEVER doddles. His meloncholy personality seems to be caused by some distraction in his own mind. Although he's extremely serious (I've seen heart attacks less 'serious' than him sometimes.), he's light hearted and tends never to really worry about anything.
PERSONALITY: (Thomas Johnson)
Thomas is full of energy, light hearted, and takes everything with a grain of salt. His sense of humor makes him seem like an idiot sometimes, especially since he's never concerned about a situation, believing that there's never a reason to be down. His philosophy is to 'worry about only what you can control' and don't bother with the rest.

One would think these two personalities would clash, but instead they mix into a rock solid determination to succede that boarders on obsessed. Interesting to note, the dominance of either personality seems to depend on if he's in his uniform. Psychologists say it comes extremely close to split personalities, but since the thought patterns remain almost the same, it seems closer to bipolar, except that he's never really depressed.

-LEGENDARY WEAPON 'TENSAI-KEN' (Horizon Blade)
This is so much a part of Tigerclaw that it needs to be added here.

This relic sword is over ten-THOUSAND years old, and possesses a specific cutting power unique to this weapon. It was forged by one of the first Zeropoint beings who ever existed. Its blade is made from a Titanium like substance, shiny as crystal, with a molecule wide cutting edge. The blade is also infused with some of the power of its creator, giving the blade an unbreakable quality on a magnitude that is unmatched by any other indestructable weapon. Among the mystical powers it contains, it gives the user who masters it the ability to see enemy strikes BEFORE they happen, known as an oracle technique. Second is that this is the ONLY sword that can be used to perform the unstoppable DEATHSTROKE, a slash so powerful that it can break ANY other indestructable weapon. Although powerful by itself, the true power of the blade can only be brought out by one possessing powers on par with its creators. Those such as Tigerclaw. Because it can break Enchanted weapons and indestructable weapons, Tensai-ken has earned the nickname 'Relic Buster'.

Sarah Makona:
Ht: 5'8"
Wt: 143 lbs
Age: 20
Ap Age: 20

Personality:
Sarah is the older of the two girls in the Makona Family. Although she is sweet, she is extremely insecure and has a short esplosive temper. She enjoys swordsmanship, and mathematics. She can be a bit obsessive at times, especially when angered or irritated, she will take action BEYOND normal... for instance chasing down people with her sword for falling into the bath while she's in it. She tries to hide her softer side, and her love of cute things. As the inheritant of ONE THOUSAND DIVINE WINDS, she is formidable with a sword, and would rather attack something than hide. Against Tigerclaw however, she's pretty much at his mercy.

Jupiter Star Warrior
Ht: 6'2"
Wt: 170
Age: 2027
Ap Age: 27

Personality:
JSW is a Star Warrior, a class of beings known as Solarians for the type of power they have. Over two thousand years old, JSW is brilliant, experienced, and a master sorceror. He is incredible with a bladed weapon, and controls powerful complex spells, one of his greated being a time-expanding spell to slow down his environment for him, allowing him more working time in sword fights. HE is the only one that can see all seven strikes of the Event Horizon technique, even if he can't do anything against them. He takes his position seriously, and with the responsibility for the master of Stars Inc, he's a bit on the critical side. This was because he lost his family to an evil Demon Sorceror named Chrinoss when he was only fifteen, yes, FIFTEEN, two thousand years ago. At first he wanted to set Tigerclaw straight for some actions that had been commited at their first encounter. But upon finding out about their common bond and enemy, he has become Tigerclaw's greatest, and most important friend. His most powerful spells are electricity, and time manipulations, but his greatest is Omnipocalypse.

Myra Makona:
Ht:4'7"
Wt: 120
Age: 11
Ap Age: 11

Personality:
Myra is Sarah's little sister. This silly and rambunctious kid enjoys icecream, and likes cooking, although she's not the best. Often her meals are good, although kind of scary looking, and the kitchen tends to be in ruins. She loves to play-fight, and often 'beats up' Tigerclaw. (Not that she REALLY does.)

Grandfather Ryo Makona
Ht: 5'5"
Wt: 135
Age: 64
Ap Age: Mid 50s

Personality:
Grandfather is a devilishly clever old man. He's a master swordsman and the grandmaster of One Thousand Divine Winds. He always seems to know MORE than he ever lets on and is often wise about situations when everyone else is guessing. It's gotta be that old man thing... He's always looking out for what would be best for other people, and by letting Tigerclaw stay in his home, he believes he can use Tigerclaw to curb his grandaughter's sharp temper and refine her into the woman she aspires to be. And if he's lucky, get a grandson-in-law out of it. Sneaky devil.

Princess Pepper Marinate
Ht: 5'6"
Wt: 135
Age: 21
Ap Age: 21

Personality:
Pepper is the princess of another world. She's got a misceivious personality, with a refined edge to it. She's a supergenious with a fantastic IQ, designs her own starships, and tends to wander about on her own. Unfortunately her common sense skills aren't the best, and almost got her killed on her first encounter with Tigerclaw's battlecruiser, THE GALAXIUS. Now she can't think of anyone but Tigerclaw, and his calm, serious, super-inteligent persona. What's a princess to do? Simple, GO AFTER HIM!

Megumi (Goddess)
Ht: 5'4"
Wt: 129
Age: 6500
Ap Age: Mid twenties.

Personality:
She almost seems clueless in her sweetness, and she's slow on the uptake. But one can afford to be a little on the mentally weak side when you're immortal. Megumi had a possesion of hers taken from her in a war on a distant planet. (A Teddybear... go figure.) Tigerclaw showed up only a short time after this and found her crying. In ten minutes, and a nuclear explosion later, he returned it to her. She's had a crush on him since that only a GODDESS could have. This sweet innocent being can only think of cuddling up next to her favorite person for a few millenia. Unfortunately, although she's a goddess, she's somewhat unreliable in the goddess abilities department. She forgets half her spells, misscasts the other half, and tends to cause damage even when she's trying to do good. Before meeting Tigerclaw, she wandered about aimlessly, earning many who tried to kill her, only they couldn't do it in the end. I mean DAMN, who could kill such a sweet girl?

A.L.L.I.C.E. (Allice).
*BIOCYBERNETIC BODY*
Ht: 5'8"
Wt: 160
Age: 1
Ap Age: Mid twenties
Acting Age: 16

Allice is the AI core of the GALAXIUS gone too far. Somehow, her AI program Imprinted on her creator, Tigerclaw, and is now completely in love with him. She went so far as to create a beleivable lifelike body. Unfortunately, as an AI core with access to one of the most powerful computer systems available, she made the body almost TOO well. Her mastery of combination cybernetics and bioengineering made her extremely meticulous on the design of her body. So much so that the the body is almost a perfect female body, right down to the hormones that cause her to have some dangerous mood swings and an ease of irritation. Her personality is split between the cybernetic body, and the Ship's main computer network, therefor she is in constant contact with GALAXIUS and a touch of anger could lead to a well aimed plasma cannon strike.

Bob: (The Psycho Samurai)

Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 220
Age: 47
Ap Age: 35

Master Shin Kitsune was once the leading swordsman of Tigerclaw's old world. He was master of the world's equivilant to One Thousand Divine Winds. He trained the younger Tigerclaw and also gave him the famed Tensai-Ken. Unfortunately, he grew ill, and that illness nearly killed him, and destroyed his mind. Now he goes by the name Bob, and is quite an overenthusiastic idiot who only speaks by yelling. Even still, you can't destroy what is so deeply engraved in a man. Bob retains phenominal strength, and still has a mastery of the sword. He weilds a Nodachi blade as large as he is and swings it like a feather. His cooking skills are spectacular if nothing else worthy of saying.

Pyro Maniac:

Ht: 5'2"
Wt: 129
Age: 27
Ap Age: 30

No one knows his real name, but he loves explosives. Some say he's lost his mind, and some say he never had one, but ALL agree. He will put common sense and public safety completely asside just to see an explosion. Although hazzardous, no one denies his vast and intimate knowledge of explosives and chemistry. Leaving him alone in even a normal grocery store is a formula for dissaster.

Clawz:

He's about average housecat size and wieght.

This feline is actually an odd race of being, and is NOT your average housecat. He's quite lazy, and as intelligent as a human, even able to talk the same languages. His appearant harmlessness comes to a screaching halt when his benevolence is at an end. In the blink of an eye he transforms into a fearsome black panther, with diamand coated claws that can slice through steel. Most agree, he's just a lazy demon cat who doesn't really care about 'demon stuff'.

TED Almighty! (A God)

Ht: 5'3"
Wt: 130
Age: 6530
Ap Age: 19

This geeky little man is the older brother of Megumi. He LOVES to act 'godlike' in front of other, but once he's revealed, he comes across as a complete moron. Like his younger sister, his powers leave something to be desired. Although his sisters spells backfire and get forgotten half the time. His just... DON'T WORK right. Half explode in his face, the rest fizzle in a puff of smoke. The only spells he can pull off, are short range teleports, mirrage tricks, and a cheesy BIG VOICE spell. The last of which he uses to intimidate foes, until his voice gives out and he reverts to his rather pathetic voice. He is protective of his sister, but ultimately a pain.

Tigerclone:

Ht: 5'6"
Wt: 138
Age: 25 years.
Appearant age: 25

There's only one way to tell the two appart, the scars on both sides of Tigerclone's face. Megumi created Tigerclone in an attempt to 'help out' only to have it backfire and create the usual Evil Clone. Tigerclone is vastly megalomaniacal and wants to conquer the world. At first, his power level matched Tigerclaw's but shortly failed on him because he only had some STORED energy. This foolish copy goes to great lengths to create 'while E Cyote' like plans, doomed to complete failure. In short, a total loser.

Chrinoss (Various forms... Chrinoss: Superior Chrinoss: Nightmare Chrinoss: Chrinoss Zero)

Chrinoss base form...
Ht: 6'2"
Wt: 250
Age: Unkn

Chrinoss was once a sorceror of a distant planet, who made a pact with a demon, and was double crossed. They merged to become the Demon Sorceror. Chrinoss is the most foul of all evils. A physical embodyment of the evil of a demon combined with the greed of man. He seeks to gain absolute power, and won't hesitate to cruelly kill anything or anyone in his way. He attempted to kill both JSW and Tigerclaw at least once in the past, and was barely warded off by both. He seeks to destroy them, as they are the only real threats to his power. There is a slim possibility that if he gains absolute power, that he would destroy the universe to create his own.

I'd like to see it destroy Fiss's sword, altering reality and all that.

Other than that, when is this tale coming out?

How can someone be bot h lighthearted and serious? That's a contradiction--impossible.

Also, if that sword can break an indestructible weapon, that means that the so-called "Indestructible" weapon is not such.

You might want to fine-tune this stuff a bit more--there doesn't seem all that much that's unique about these characters. It seems like a mixture between Tenchi and Dragonball.

It's easy to be both serious and light hearted. You just have to meet... ME! to understand. I take things seriously, but know when problems crop up that a little thinking and things work themselves out.

Tenchi mixed with Dragon BallZ. Bleh. Dragon Ball fights are sooooooo slooooooowwwwww.....
Real fights don't last more than a few minutes max, even a power fight. The biggest fights are of course, the end of segment battles... The longest probably going to be Tigerclaw VS Chrinoss Zero.... (In which Tigerclaw will be buying time before using the only trump he has left...) As for Tenchi, you DARE use that show as an example? The plotline is FAR more complex and the characters are much deeper than you seem to understand just by compairing them to my characters. DO NOT insult the name.

And the SO CALLED indestructable weapons are supposed to be indestructable... you could send them to the heart of a black hole and they'd survive... (Although you'd never be able to get them.) This 'DEATHSTROKE' attack is something that defies the normal laws of magic and science. The technique was divised and created with the sword... and such, how it works has passed beyond story knowledge. Tigerclaw has merely mastered the attack. Something the sword, in combination with him, can only do. Not EVERYTHING needs an explanation as to how it works.

I say that because you're using the typical multiple-females-chasing-one-male formula, along with a focus on the battles.

Moreover, as for the serious and light-hearted bits...that's not it. That's serious but optimistic. light-hearted is different.

Might I point out that quoting B.D.Saints has really nothing in common with massive energy battles no matter their durration, nor has it anything to do with indestructible weapons being hacked to bits by indestructible weapons.

Also, ACTUAL fights in Dragon Ball Z were pretty quick. The problem is that they B.S.ed with power levels too much. THAT'S not what is being compared to ZeroPoint. Rather, it is Dragon Ball Z's FUCKING ANNOYING strategy of having one character about to use their last, uber, 'make Lina Inverse shit her panties' attack...and the other guy just bats it away, or takes it and laughs and says "Hahahaha...that's it????"

It gets old real fast.

Didn't we have an extended AIM conversation over this already Fiss? And didn't I of course, try to explain it in detail? Perhaps I should just stop listening to you guys critisize what I haven't even finished writing yet...

CHRINOSS: YES, IGNORE THEM! HOW DOES IT FEEL? KNOWING NO ONE BELIVES YOU, NO ONE WILL HELP YOU! THAT EVERYONE CONSIDERS YOU A FREAK!? NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY, THEY'LL NEVER APPRECIATE YOU!

TIGERCLAW: O_O That's not true!

CHRINOSS: YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE! LOOK AT THEM! THEY LOATH YOU! THEY CAN'T STAND THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU! THEIR ONLY WISH IS TO DESTROY YOU!

TIGERCLAW: BULLSHIT! I've done far too much good and earned my respect to be loathed like that!

CHRINOSS: RESPECT?! HA! YOU MISTAKE FEAR FOR RESPECT! THEY'RE AFRAID! THEY'RE AFRAID OF WHAT YOU CAN DO!

TIGERCLAW: NO!

CHRINOSS: YES! THEY FEAR YOUR POWER! THEY TREAD CARFULLY AROUND YOU, IMPOSING REGULATIONS AND SAFETY MEASURES... ALL A GUISE TO LIMIT YOU USING YOUR POWER!

TIGERCLAW: LIE!

CHRINOSS: WHAT GOOD IS ALL THE POWER IN THE UNIVERSE! IF YOU DON'T USE IT! HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY MAKE USE OF SUCH POWER WHEN YOU REFUSE TO LET IT FREE!

TIGERCLAW: It is NOT A TOY!

CHRINOSS: YOU'RE PATHETIC! JUST LIKE BEFORE, YOU'RE STILL ONLY A CHILD! AND JUST LIKE BEFORE, ALL THAT IS NEAR YOU WILL BE DESTROYED. ALL YOU CARE ABOUT WILL BE KILLED, ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! HOW DOES IT FEEL? KNOWING THIS? KNOWING THEY WILL ALL DIE! KNOWING IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! JUST LIKE YOUR PARENTS!

No, you were mentioing the big problem with DBZ was the fight speed. I just was mentioing it's the fights themselves. ^_^ And I still don't see how B.D. Saints fits into it. :P

BD Saints fits into it like this... the post I replied to with that quote, is directly under Cam's post, in which his signature, is exactly what I posted it. In other words... that's where I first noticed what his SIG said... and commented on it. Do you forget I'm highly spontanious?

Hey ATC, I have a few comments here.

Now, I'm all for fight scenes; after all many movies and TV series are built on fight scenes, but I also remember that (excluding the Matrix for the best attempt so far) such genres have very shallow plots. If at any point in the series, I see a single person who holds superhuman powers, I can tell the whole thing is going to lead to a fight scene.

A fight scene on a titanic scale with sketchy reprocussions no less, but still a fight scene; and there were already many fight scenes leading up to that point. I mean, honestly there's only so much staged violence one man can take before he starts to question why he's watching this. It's what makes many TV series real old real fast.

You know I have a serious problem with this part; an ancient civilization created a list of battle classes based on all types of beings in the universe. Did they have ANYTHING better to do with their time? Such as advance their civilization, or police the economy, or take care of children, or manage money? There's no back story at all here, and on a galactic scale of battle, you'd think we'd know something about the culture behind all of these planets that are getting vaporized. No culture at all, just explosions. The only real backstory is TC's life and all involved, and it really seems to trivialized the gravity of all of these atrocities being committed.

An entire continent dissapeared today; who cares? It was a cool explosion.

And finally; how does the universe balance the existance of a zeropoint / god / wizard / chaos being / whatever? With all of these creatures running around it's a miracle the universe has survived this long since, in your world, they seem to like blowing shit up. There has to be some tangible element here on the other end of the spectrum that should have the power to negate the existence of Zeropoint, but there isn't. They're just a form of benevolent power above all else. That's good for fight scenes, mind you, but there is nothing in the universe that should even allow their existence. They tip the scale in terms of power, and that kind of thing by definition destroys everything. It's not possible. :?

Well I assure you I do think about things other than the fight scenes. Fight scenes happen to be the easiest parts to make up. Some answers to your questions are in the general chat section under "What do you classify as?" topic and poll. The more subtle and carefully detailed stuff takes me a lot longer to write, as I need a good mindset to get into it... and even a single story or mindstate altering event (Music even) can throw mine off. Especilly since my best single run through a writing sequence comes when I have a scene mentally played out to a song... Action scenes work best there... So writing NON-ACTION scenes takes me time, and sometimes Ideas.... However, I've started working on a SCENE INDEX for each part of an episode so I have a general Idea what I want to do in each scene.

For instance, ZP One... the designation file name of my first chapter has the following for a scene index.

1: Opening Scene
2: THE CHASE: Part One
3: Middle of Nowhere
4: Hotspring Hotshot
5: THE CHASE: Part Two
6: Hand VS Sword
7: The Deal
8: Kitchen Catastrophy
9: Dinner
10: Rooftop discussion.

Just a few words, but they tell me how I want to procede that-a-way I can focus myself on what I'm gonna do next, and write towards it.

Now If only I can sit down and write more than a sentence at a time. (I'm kinda slinking about on writing THE CHASE PART TWO scene... I know what I want to do there, it's just hard to write a descriptive running scene that involves running around two buildings, and essentially events that would be far more interesting WATCHING than reading. For an example, watch the first episode of Love Hina and watch Keitaro's chase scene... He has more events and people involved, but I find it hard to map out how to word an essentially simplistic scene, without sounding like some narrative robot. See next parenthetical notation...)

((

Essentially, for The Chase Part Two, I have Thomas running from Sarah. She attempts to strike him with her sword technique after her opening punch, and then takes out part of the bamboo wall whilst running. After a quick change [the kind of change that you get with unclothed in one camera cut, and then fully dressed two cuts later... the sort of thing only anime can do.], she catches him in the open courtyard between the little Open air bath, the house, and the dojo... and attempts to hurt him again... and then he rounds the dojo corner... she runs THROUGH the dojo door, intercepts him... and he JUMPS clear. After landing a few hundred feet away, he runs and she chases more, and he suddenly wonders why he's even running when he should be defending himself, and stops, turning around to defend himself... this part ends, going into the short, Hand VS Sword sequence... which is all but a throw and some, if it were animated, strategicly planned camera angles and shots.... I'm trying to write this part without it looking like a short little waste of my time. ))
