Post Superhero Poll
Glitter-

Powers:
1) Powerfull electromagnetic field at close range.
2) Radiation bursts.

Power Source:
1) Sun or any other available source of radiation.

Weaknesses:
1) Powers occasionally do not respond to her will.

Age: 15
Sex: Female
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Affiliations: UN
Enemies: Various and changing
Nemesis: None
Lethal: Occasionally

Glitter is social outsider. She's too goth for the preps, too preps for the goths and too smart for everything in general. She fears being close to people as her powers are deadly and frequently uncontrollable.
The first manifestation of her abilities were at age fourteen at the state science fair. Excess solar radiation she had absorbed had saturated her and her containment field collapsed relasing huge amounts of stored radiation. The building and all the inhabitants were incenerated in seconds. This scared her and left her fearful of her powers.

Post The Great Muffin
Powers:
1) Monopole lead supertensile tether w/electric shock
2) Superhuman strength
3) Superhuman agility
4) Rapid Healing
5) Energy Blast
6) Passive Telepathy

Power Source:
1) N/A

Weaknesses:
1) Insanity

Age: 23
Sex: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Affiliations: N/A
Enemies: Azrael, Janice, Obelisk, Various Law Enforcement Bodies
Nemesis: The Darkness
Lethal: Some victims he kills, others he electrolobotimizes into a vegetative state

Muffin is not crazy. Carl, his alter ego, is. Carl's passive telepathy allows him to hear thoughts of those within six hundred meters. When he sleeps this range increases to include the world. He cannot send thoughts or even alter the thoughts of others. He can only listen. Carl does not dream, instead he experiences all the echoing negative thoughts of the world. This has given him a phobia of sleep. When Carl was twenty, he decided that he would rather die than experience another night of unthinkable horrors. Combining meditation, caffiene, and various legal and illicit drugs Carl manage to go without sleep for three full weeks. The lack of sleep drove him insane. On the twenty-second day without sleep, Carl passed out into unconsciousness and The Great Muffin was born.

Muffin is Carl's unconscious attempt to free himself from the nightmares that haunt him in his sleep. While Carl sleeps, Muffin gains control of their body and begins his mission: freeing Carl from The darkness, the collected evil of humanity. To this end, Muffin spends the week of sleep Carl gets after his three weeks of wakefullness hunting down, electrolobotimizing every rapist, murderer, psychopath, violent, and abusive person he can get his hands on.

Obelisk is possibly Muffin's greatest physical enemy. It is unknown where Obelisk comes from. It periodically appears from undeground to attack Muffin, usually causing a great deal of property damage in the ensuing struggle. Obelisk's goals are unknown, though it is well known that he is all but impervious to damage. The only effective weapon against Obelisk is Muffin's energy blast technique that, unfortunately, burns a great deal of the flesh off of Muffin's arms, shoulders, and chest.

Post Psion
Powers:
1) Telepathy
2) Telekenisis
3) Astral Projection

Power Source:
1) N/A

Weaknesses:
1) Her body is vulnerable while she's away
2) Psychic attacks can injure her both mentally and physicalls

Age: 18
Sex: Female
Alignment: Lawful Good
Affiliations: N/A
Enemies: The Council, Various
Nemesis: The Harrbringer
Lethal: No

Psion was just begining to gain control over her burgeoning psionic powers when a car crash left her in a comma for four years. When she awakened she found herself paralyzed. Being physically restrained, Psion's mental abilities flourished. She now uses her abilities to project an image of herself remotely and manipulate her enviroment.

The Council is a group dedicated to bringing about an evolution of humanity so that all have psionic powers. They are willing to achieve this goal by any means. To this end they seek to capture and study Psion and there is evidence they wish to use her for breeding purposes as well.

Psion's nemesis is The Harrbringer. It claims to be a sign of the end times, but this is unsubstantiated and the Harrbringer seems confused and insane most of the time. The Harrbringer can change shape at will, changing not only to assume the physical characteristics of it's target but their mental characteristics as well. This makes it particularly hard for Psion to determine if it is around. Telepathic attacks seem to keep The Harrbringer stuck in one form. However The Harrbringer itself is psionic and capable of doing great harm to Psion in any form.

Glitter's powers are cool...but the name takes away points.
Muffin has a lot of good powers and crazy always helps. ^_^
Psion is good, but too generic.

well all i can say is that there seems to be a good balance between bad and good stuff of each hero... which is good since an all powerful too perfect hero would be dull....

with that said i like say that while reading Psion's other info it kind of reminded me of Gundam....

well actually only the part where trying to force a huge asteriod colony onto earth making it unhabitable so every one would need to go live in space colonies thus having better chance as a whole to become newtypes.....

yeah... strange no?

The UN? Looks like the Security Council finally got some balls.

When exactly is high concentration radiation not lethal?

I can't choose between Glitter and Muffin. On the one hand you have a girl who deep fried a state fair. The there's a guy who doesn?t sleep, but when he passes out he beings helping the gene pool directly. Throw 'em together so I don't have to choose.

Actually, they stepped in as a mitigating factor. Glitter is a politically interested and progressive teenager. By random chance, she harebellious and dangerous acts. So she set about doing a lot of acts of rebellion against the current system. Like her assault on the World Bank meeting, her forcibly shutting down a number of nuclear instillations, and her involvement in a few civil wars. When set about freeing Tibet on her own, the UN was forced to act or China was just going to try and nuke her off the face of the Earth. She works with the UN afterwards but maintains a lot of her independence.

That was a refference to whether or not she chooses to kill. In theheat of the moment, Glitter will kill. Also, she actually gives off less rads than a standard human normally but when her containment feild fluctuates or fails she can but out damaging or even lethal amounts of radiation.

Can I ask where this is leading? You seem to have them pretty well planed out. What's the story brewing?

Glitter's the most cool, Muffin's the most powerful, and Psion may be the most interesting, if, for example, her purpose is to bring balance and stability to the Harrbringer. If not... meh.

Almost seems as if it may be leading towards a nifty Omoi/X-men kinda thing.

Glitter also sounds like she may make a pretty decent power source, like a living battery or something.

Neat, it's making me extrapolate stuff. Not much does that I don't already know about.

Actually Glitter has more power than Muffin, his powers are just very refined. One on one Glitter would have the advantage but Muffin could kill her. And he would try to his death to kill her.

Glitter is litterally bottled sunlight. All her life photons of various energy levels have been trapped within an electromagnetic bottle inside of her. The bottle can only hold so much energy, so when it spills over the top the cage fails briefly releasing about a year or two's worth of stored solar radiation. Of course that's enough energy for a good kiloton explosion.
