I walk through dying streets And see no other person. The sump pump clangs on. No bird will fly near to me Other children look away. I?m told I?m unique, I have a higher purpose, That I must focus. To speak to the boy two seats Over is a distraction. It is not useful. And picking a rose might Lead to infection. Yet at times I hear the moon Singing its keen crescent song, And I find myself Asking if I can still say ?I am not a doll.? AN: I've read a lot of Eva fanfiction; this is influenced by it all. |

Never been much of a poetry writer...to me it's just writing with more rules! However, I do enjoy good poetry. This is excellent work (the end gave me chills). Keep writing; don't let your talent go to waste! |
