I demand game!
Right. So I'm running plenty of stuff- GURPS OFA stuff on this board (great fun), a small GURPS campaign on campus which has converted two nice Christian boys into dedicated gamers ("I wanna bigger gun to kill more robots with!"). But I'm not playing.
I know. I'm not a really great player. I get too involved, want my character to succeed too much, but... but... man. I really want to PLAY, you know? Blow off some steam. So does anyone want to run a very very small D&D campaign (2-3 players) on the board? Or Gurps? I mean... I'm desperate for some roleplaying, and there's just no options out here.
Fiss? Anyone?

I... am very hesitant to play VTM/WTA/MTA. Frequently too much "I'm a darky dark lord of darkness!"
...
though I admit the RP opportunities are greater than a hack-and-slash. I dunno. I was kinda hoping for a heroic battle against evil more than a dark antihero story. Plus I have no VTM pdfs/books. :P Then again, I do like to RP, and in a forum that's a lot better/easier than combat...
Tell ya what, I'd prefer a lighter atmosphere- if you could run that, or if nobody provides a lighter one, I'll go for it. (I was kinda hoping to pressure Fiss into running a small campaign- <_< help me pressure him! Oooo!)

I'm so Goth I shit BATS!
On that note, play Vampire: Bloodlines for the PC. FUCKING AWESOME GAME!
Well, my Missionaries RPG is kinda in progress, but I'm always up to generate some awesome ideas.
Tell you what, Toze, you decide the format you want to play, and I'll do my best to fill that void you have in your RPG Meats. It's like sex...only less juice and more Mountain Dew.

YES THANK YOU GOD!
I give you unf in gratitude.
*unf*
there. I love you, man.
Eeee, _I_ get to decide the format? <_<
>_>
<_<
Wel, I've got the 3.5 books on hand. I could jump way out of type and play *flip flip flip* Well, there was that kobold thief idea I had for Joe's campaign, or maybe the theology student could actually play a cleric for once in his life...
anyway. how about a D&D campaign? I can't even touch the game on campus and I've been itching for some fantasy gaming. Not necessarily all sunshine and lollipops, but one of those grand old adventures, you know? Some old-school, hard-core stuff.

If I am allowed, I'd volunteer to fill a gap.

Okay, so I think I'm settling on the kobold thief as what I'd really like to play, sort of a "searching for redemption" character; knows his race has sucked forever, knows people hate him, still wants to set things right somehow, without wiping out kobolddom. Doesn't know how to do that, frustrated.
His only real skills are thievery, but he doesn't want to reinforce the "evil kobold" mentality. I don't think he'll be lawful good, but maybe neutral good.
Sound good?

Alllrighty then. Give everyone a day or two - does anyone else want to join?
Format: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Edition
House Rules:
-"Retard Agility" re-rolling of Crit-Failures allowed (and subsequently spectacular failures/successes described by DM in Cinematic fasion)
-Crit Successes on Skill-Checks = DM provides cinematic result.
-Any other suggestions?
Starting level: 4
Starting Equipment/etc: 1000 Gold flat, NO magical arms/armour, masterworks OK if you can pay the price.
World Notes: VERY low tech, average magic, average population. Climate: Ranges from Tropical/Beach (common) to Mountainrange/Snow (uncommon) to some sub-terranian and even...if you guys want it...Aquatic areas. (rare)
I will open up a new Topic in Kneverwave as a Fiss-Ran D&D 3.5 game. I will expand upon the world and your general mission there.

Psionics?
And, if the characters have craft skills and are able to "Take 10" to succeed at making something, can they use reduced costs for items as if they made them?
In theory, the same could be applied to the "Take 20" option (mostly for crafting one's own masterwork items) as long as proportionate cost increases are include for proportionate rates of failure, but that might get too abusive, methinks.

No psi because I'm not familiar enough with it to use it in a non-personal setting.
Taking 10 = yes, but only if the situation allows

Curious: Do you have OpenOffice.org installed? Specifically the spreadsheet part? I like using it for character sheets since I can automate formulae easily. I use it for my OFA character, too. If you don't, it's a wonderful counterpart to MS Office. And it's free.

But I wanted to play!

It occurs to me that I emailed my character sheet with the sheets protected. If you, Chris, need to unprotect them to modify something, there is no password.

Toze: Thanks, fixed the typo.
No problem, Daemon. Not at home at the moment, but I'll check when I get back and let you know if I run into any trouble.
SC. I'll help you finish off your character tonight if I'm up to it. Between work and being sick it's a bitch.
I'm thinking that we have room for 1 more player, so if anyone else has been thinking of joining then you'd better speak up now. ^_^

Oh, yeah, Decebalus, you're in. That should just about rap up the team. Send me a character concept/idea/sheet and we'll be rocking!
