Help.
I read this really interesting fic the other day...and now I can't find the damn thing. I was going to post it here, to show that there was someone that managed to do a good job of making Gendou look sympathetic, but now...blat. I think it was on FF.net, but I'm running into a wall.
Can anyone help me?

It took place in the past and dealt with his and Yui's relationship?

A file that big?
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.

No; it's a divergance from the canon stuff. It starts after Yui's been absorbed by Unit 01; instead of abandoning Shinji, Gendou decides to keep him, and look after the boy himself. I was sure I'd read it on FF.net, but I can't seem to find it.
On the plus side, I've found a lot of 'female Shinji' stories. All I can say to that is...whoops. Glad I didn't read those before I started "Gendou's Child".

You know, I had started a series where Gendo kept Shinji until he was eight. Long story short, it fucked Shinji up good. He had sociopathic leaning and, every so often, partook of homicidal behavior.

Interesting... Did you post it? If so, where?
I guess this means that you don't know the fic I'm talking about? Oh well, thanks anyway.

I think I read this fic as well... it was somewhere on the http://www.darkscribes.org site, as I recall. I also remember that I could never find it again.

"Upon Bladed Wings" is the title. It should be on FF.net still. I didn't get far into it before a HD crash wiped out all my notes and outlines.

"The Promise of Living"; it was indeed at Darkscribes. That was driving me nuts last week. (short trip! )
